Shuk Top Maryland Rider PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 21.— Nick Shuk, who has been riding in peak form during the current Pimlico meeting and who is the leading jockey of the meeting during the first 13 days, also has gained top place among the riders in Maryland all spring through his surge at Pimlico. At the moment, Shuk has won 14 races at Pimlico to nine each for Bobby Mitchell and Robert Bauer. For the entire spring season to date, through Laurel, Bowie and 13 days at Pimlico, Shuk is setting the pace with 37, against 33 for Sam Boulmetis and 29 for Joe Culmohe, who started fast at Laurel, but who has recently been in a slump. j , ,
