Leading Apprentice of Country SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 24. — The sensational apprentice Ralph Borgemenke, who extended his lead over local riders by scoring four times on Wednesdays card, now is the leading apprentice of the country. His success since the beginning of the Suffolk Downs meeting has earned him sixth spot on the list of the countrys leading riders. With such a capable agent at Harry Hollander making his engagements, Borgemenke figures to move up the ladder and may well, be challenging Steve Brooks, the current leader, before mid-summer. The Cincinnati born youngster has ridden 44 winners during the first 27 days of the current meeting.
