MOON BABY, always within striking distance, took command with a rush inside the stretch and steadily drew clear to win with speed in reserve. RAIDER LaRUE showed good speed from the beginning, responded to punishment during the drive and closed willingly to be best of the others. JOGGINS rallied too late to seriously endanger the leaders. GRACE MAE moved up menacingly on the outside to reach the lead nearitig the furlong marker, then faltered. BOLDGER" tired. LEGENDAIRE and WAR GIFT lacked early speed. LADY INDIAN was through after a half mile. SUSIE quit. BEST ARRAY showed nothing. SIGNIOR APPEARED SORE DURING THE POST PARADE; AND WAS DECLARED. ALL WAGERS ON SIGNIOR WERE ORDERED REFUNDED. FLORAL TRAIL raced with the first flight to the furlong marker, then failed to make up appreciable ground when hard ridden through the late stages. QUEEN KARLING was unable to improve her position when subjected to brisk urging. JUMPY JOHN passed tiring horses. VANSLAM was unable to keep up. JUST EIGHT had no apparent excuse. HOOPS CHARM worked her way forward to the stretch, disposed of STAR CALL inside the stretch, then gamely withstood SUZIES GIRL. The latter finished with good courage in a sharp effort. ATOMIC ENERGY, probably best, was forced to take up sharply when in close quarters midway the final furlong, then finished resolutely when clear. STAR CALL bore in while tiring during the late stages. TRY ME closed a gap. ATOM BURG gave way suddenly after five furlongs. BOLO HOWHE lacked racing room during the stretch run. JOHNS DATE quit.
