Twelve Sprinters Vie In Omaha Main Event Fearless Ken Meets Educator In Ak-Sar-Ben Sprint Feature By C. IINDEMAN Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, JNTebr., May 24.— The second ladies day program of the week will be offered tomorrow and 12 sprinters will vie in the Flag Lieutenant Purse, a six-furlong dash thflt-will act as the sixth race and main attraction. For the most part all horses in this event are making their first appearance at this meeting. Educator, who finished third in his only start here this week, figures to give a good account of himself in a field of this type. Of the others named to face the starter, Fearless Ken, from the stable of G. F. Meng, who has been turning in some better-than-average races at Sportsmans Park in Chicago, figures to be the choice. He was in the money in both of his starts at the Windy City half-mile course, and from his morning trials since arriving here should* be one of the top contenders for the ,200 purse. A. D. Turners seven-year-old Educator, who is also a son of Bull Lea, made his first start of the year on opening day here, and closed fast in a field of sprinters to finish fourth after a slow beginning. That good effort should serve as a tightener for his race in the feature. Educator drops two pounds from that good try, today he carries only 111 pounds. Anaesthesia, who races in the interests of J. D. Taylor, will be making her first start of the year when she competes in the sixth event. This game daughter of He Did showed some very good races last year at the Wheeling Downs track. Clockers concede her a good chance to make a good showing from the way she has been performing during her morning workouts. Others scheduled to compete in the Flag Lieutenant Purse are Civil Sheriff, Asaider, Thistle Dog, Pretex, Deltoid, Well Wisher, Plucky Chic, Arcangela, Grand DOr and Ruth Ann. Maiden three-year-olds will start the days program off when 12 non-winners vie for honors in a five and one-half furlong Jash for a ,000 purse. As all of those •lated to vie in the opener are making their :irst starts here this season, there is little to choose between them, as the race is at special weights, so the field is closely matched. Due to lack of entries in the Nebraska-bred race, which was for maiden two-year-olds, the race was called off as there lacked enough entries to make a race. It is the policy of the management to have one homebred race each day, if it fills. Post time for the Friday and Saturday programs will be at 2:00 p. m.
