WENDIGO showed speed along the inside, gained commsnd leaving the backstretch, responded to steady pressure while drifting out in the stretch and outfinished ULA. T!:e latter rushed boldly on the final turn, was caught on the outside of the leader and carried wide. PENCELL charged stoutly through the stretch, but was forced to change course by the drifting leaders. GAY set the early pace, gave way and was unable to keep up after three furlongs. NIGHT MAN tired after forcing the pace. MISGUIDED showed nothing. GOOD SWEEP, fractious at the gate, unseated rider and caused delay while a new saddle was procured from the jockey quarters. JOBIE improved position gradually was steered wide entering the stretch, responded to late urging and was along to take command inside the final sixteenth and drew clear. I FORGOT rushed boldly along the inside tc near contention on the final turn, continued to gain whiletaken out to the middle of the track, but was unable to catch the winner. GOOD MASK forced . the pace, assumed command before entering the stretch, opened a clear lead, then faltered. YOGURT passed tiring horses. STEFANELLA went well for a half mile before tiring. CHOPPER broke alertly, was very wide and racing greenly down the backstretch, responded when roused in the final furlong and was along to catch LADY WILSON a few yards from the wire. LADY WILSON drew clear at once, saved ground throughout and just missed. AROSA raced close to the pace and held cn well. MISS MEAH forced the pace, weakened after three furlongs, but continued gamely. ESPE_DECO made up ground on the extreme outside. PAPA DON rushed boldly along the rail, was blocked entering the stretch, caire out, but lacked a late rally. CHINAWARE went evenly. HATTIES GIFT raced wide. JOE TOWN was through early. FINAL DRIVE raced close to the pace, came to the inside on the far turn, wrested the lead from BEDA BULL in the stretch and drew out under pressure. BEDA BULL was under early urging to maintain position and had nothing left in the late stages. LARRY ELLIS, slow to settle into best stride, closed strongly at the end. GO BETWEEN finished strongly along the rail. JACOS BOY lacked a late rally. WELL WELL, a trailer early, passed tiring horses. KING SUPREME weakened after a half mile. LEFT WINGER dropped, out of contention early and appeared to dislike the going. AGIES SON was unable to untrack himself after brief speed and was not persevered with.
