1 Strathspey Wins Marathon ASCOT PARK, Berkshire, England, June 16 Reuters . — Britain won the Queen Alexandra Stakes, longest flat race on the Jockey Club calendar, when James Ranks six-year-old gelding, Strathspey, outstayed his opposition in this 22-furlong event at -the final day of the Ascot meeting. Ridden by the Australian, Arthur Breasl, the vic-, tor had three lengths to spare over the Irish horse, Dark Warrior, with another Irish horse, Galatian, third.
