Stoner Greek Stud : Will Offer 14 Head i Three Colts and Two Fillies In Lot Sired by Count Fleet; Offspring of Banish Fancied By HUGH McGTJIRE Staff Correspondent LEXINGTON, Ky., June 16.— The exploits of the* progeny of Count Fleet on the tracks of 4he country this year compel particular attention in the direction of the yearlings that Mrs*. John D. Hertz will offer at the Keeneland Summer Sale. The consignment of the Stoner Creek Stud numbers 14 youngsters, nine of whom are colts and they are a mighty interesting lot. Count Fleet will be represented by three colts and two fillies, the balance . of the crop being by Mahmoud, Blenheim TX, War Admiral, Challedo_n and Princequillo. One Count Fleet colt who is attracting much attention is the first foal of the Count Gallahad mare, Banish. This matron is a half-sister to Cosmic Bomb and Fleet Rings and attaches of the farm look for the colt to be in brisk demand. Good Defense is the dam of a bay Count Fleet and this youngster is a half-brother to Prize Ring who is racing commendably this season. The good race mare, Risque, is the dam of the third Count Fleet colt. Risque won the Alabama, Spinaway, Arlington Lassie and the Arlington Matron. Three crosses of the "gray blood" for which much of the Hertz breeding pattern is noted, are to be found in a Count Fleet filly from the Man o War matron, Army Flirt. The other Count Fleet miss is from the Sir Gallahad m. mare, Grand Gala. Half-Brother to Bull Reigh Likely to be~found fighting for top place in the Hertz consignment is a roan colt by Mahmoud— Risque Reigh, by Reigh Count. This youngster is a half-brother to La Reigh and Bull Reigh and is a nonchalant individual with an even temperament of a good race horse. A Malimoud filly from Annie Reigh, by Reigh Count, is a three-quarters sister to Owners. Choice and is a particularly comely miss of fine proportions. Three crosses of the "gray "blood" appear in a racy colt by Mahmoud — Hasty Triumph, by Haste."" The three colts by Blenheim II. probably are headed by a robust youngster from the Blue Larkspur mare, Banish Fear. This colt is a half-brother to Cosmic Bomb and Fleet Rings. A filly by ChaUgdon — Margaret Reigh is a half-sister to Euclid and Pretty Maggie. Her dam had five winners from five foals of racing age. A filly by War Admiral — Betagain II., by Gainsborough, is a half-sister to Stud Poker and other winners. This miss might catch the j eye of a buyer seeking a broodmare prospect. A sturdy colt by Princequillo — Sleigh I Ann completes the alluring Stoner Creek consignment. I The Stoner Creek records show that Mrs. Hertz now has bred more winners of 00,-000 than any other living breeder who is still active today with the exception, of William Woodward and Greentree. Judging by the splendid condition in which farm manager Ralph Baird has this crop of yearlings, there Is certainly no let-down in attention and care of future racers from Stoner Creek. I
