CHOWGARH outran IVACHANCE for the lead on the turn, drew clear steadily to midstretch and held on well over MANI SWEEP. The latter improved his position from the outside and hung in the final strides. BETE NOIR failed to menace the top pair while rallying well. LUCKY SLAM closed with good energy. IVACHANCE was unable to shake off the early opposition and faltered. SLIDE HOME gave way early. SIR RHYMER was never a factor. MINERVA A. quit badly. BUDDY WELLS f lattenedout after being shuffled back along the inside early. HIGH TREND moved to the lead leaving the backstretch, rapidly established a commanding lead and weakened in the final sixteenth. POMPANO gave way after showing in front for five furlongs.
