Won driving; second and third the same, BISCAYNE BAY rushed to the leaders soon after the start, easily, displaced WINDSOR KING and opened a clear lead, but was under steady urging at the end to hold the rival safe. WINDSOR KING held an early lead, offered little resistance to the winner when, headed, but responded to punishment in the stretch run and finished gamely. FLARESPUR was a sharp contender throughout and finished well. OLYMPIA WIZ gave an even effort and held on well to. head-heat for fourth money, despite being crowded through the stretch by MID CITY. The latter could not be efficiently handled while lugging in badly through the stretch, but gained the dead-heat for fourth. PRINCE RHYMER had no mishap. ROYAL BRIAR rushed forward outside of horses going to the far turn, but suddenly dropped back. COUNTERPARTY was not a factor. MONACOAN was lightly steadied while racing with the first flight, responded gamely when set down entering the last furlong and was. up in the final strides to best SEEBIT. The latter was energetically ridden throughout while setting the pace, saved all possible ground and just failed to last. HARANGUE gradually made up ground while racing under pressure on the outside and finished determinedly. BLUE LAW could not match early speed with SEEBIT and dropped back, then finished evenly. STONEY TAR moved through on the inside to challenge INBEAT rounding the turn, continued resolutely under extreme pressure and outfinished PEN-IN-HAND. The latter never was far back, closed determinedly under brisk urging in the stretch and was gradually getting to the winner. INBEAT was lightly rated in setting the pace and fought it out gamely to the end while finishing between rivals. BARCLAY JOE was not a threat. WELSH PRIDE had early speed, bore out on the turn and faltered. ACE VAR was taken in hand after a swift beginning," had to be pulled out to come around the top pair rallying in the stretch, then bested his rivals while attempting to lug in. REJANE closely pressed KING BEAU for the pace and fought it out gamely in the drive. KING BEAU quickly raced to the front after settling into stride, could not shake off REJANE and slightly -weakened under punishment. RARE MUSIC raced wide and finished fast. SWIVET lacked a rally. BRONZE WARRIOR, hustled along pressing WHITE LIGHT for the pace, was forced slightly wide on the final turn by that one, but quickly opened a commanding lead in the stretch and was taken in hand for the last yards. VARSITY, unable to seriously contend early, closed strongly in the final stages. OLD GLENDALE lacked early speed, but finished well. ELBERWHIRL had . to be taken in hand when WHITE LIGHT crossed in front of him on the turn, then failed to carry his speed when put back to a drive. HANWAR could not keep up. LILLAL quickly settled into a clear lead and was steered over to the rail, raced along evenly into the stretch and increased her advantage under intermittent punishment EMARDEE saved ground, alertly gaining a prominent position, continued gamely in the drive, and although rto menace to the winner, bested SPEEDY WAVE with authority. The latter showed first away from the gate, raced closest to the winner, but dropped back a bit racing wide on the turn, then" held on well. STEPPER UPPER raced through close quarters at the five-furlong marker, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished well., OUTSMART lost some distance racing outside of horses and weakened. ON" YOUR OWN could not keep up rounding the turn and. lacked a menacing rally. CANADIANA was steadied attempting to bear out on the turn. ATALANTA began slowly, was taken up sharply at the far turn, then forced passage in the last three-sixteenths to finish strongly. SUNSHINE NELL stumbled after the break and never entered contention. SENGA was; done early. SINGING BEAUTY and BRAZEN BRAT could not reach contention racing amid the field early and showed little. BYE AND BYE lacked racing room going to the far turn.
