Garden State Mutuel Handle To Average Over ,000,000 GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 31. Going into the final day of the spring meeting, it was certain that Garden State would have a daily mutuel wagering average of more than ,000,000 for the first time in the history of the track. The total handle for the first 24. days was 7,249,229. All that was needed for a ,000,000 daily average was a handle of ,750,771 today. It was anticipated that todays wagering would eclipse ,000,000.
