RUSSELL TS was well placed in the early running and, working his way up in the last quarter, found an opening to" take command and hold CHOW CHOW. The latter put on a good run through the stretch and. was gaining on the winner at the end. LUART took command early, continued well after being headed by WRACK PLAY to again show in front in the stretch and went fairly well to the end. HIGH MIO was outrun early, but closed ground. BOBBY-BOO was within striking distance of the leaders for the first half mile, then gained gradually on FLOUR CITY to pass him after entering the last furlong and drew out under urging. FLOUR CITY, always close to the pace, took a short lead after entering the stretch and, although unable to resist the winner, held MY DREAM LADY. The latter made up some ground in the late stages. CHAMPIONS BOY finished fairly well. MIMADA was unable to keep up. VIGOR was off poorly and had little chance. SLEEPY TIGRESS tired badly. W00DFELL0W was away poorly. MUNCHAUSEN was closest to BLACK GALLANT while the latter was making the pace and easily taking command when ready in the stretch, drew out in the final sixteenth. LACHES saved ground in the stretch to close fairly well and best the others. BLACK- GALLANT pulled away after leaving the backstretch, but weakened in the run home. DRAFTING ROOM went evenly. BLUE HAWAII came strongly after leaving the backstretch and, forging to the front in the final, furlong bested BLACK MAIN in the drive. The latter appeared to head the field an eighth out, then went steadily and had no trouble holding LADY ELLIOTT. The latter raced up strongly nearing the stretch turn to be with the leaders entering the final furlong, but weakened. DEBBIE SUE displayed good early speed, but tired. SUN DAVID was close up from the start and, easily racing to command when called upon in the stretch, passed SET SHOT to pull into a long lead in the final sixteenth and win easily. SMACKOVER was outrun early and was in rather tight quarters around the far turn, but closed fast, and gamely, SET SHOT had the most early foot and opened up on the field after leaving the backstretch, but tired badly after being headed by the winner. SEA 0 ERIN went to the. front early and was taken in . hand after assuming a rather lengthy lead on the backstretch, then raced steadily to the stretch where he was roUsed mildly and was not in danger. HASSEYAMPA was outrun for a half mile, but was not hurried, then responded to move to second place and made a good run through the stretch in an attempt to get to the winner, but failed to seriously threaten him: ENDON, while seemingly outclassed by the first run, turned in a creditable effort to be best of the others. NOTABLE finished fairly well. The others were outpaced and did not seem to belong. ALSAB ACE WAS INJURED IN THE GATE AND WAS WITHDRAWN BY THE VETERARIAN. CHANCE SNOW was well up from the start while racing on the inside, then moved to the front when called upon in the stretch and gradually drew away from MIGHTY . MOMENT in the last sixteenth. The latter set the pace under light rating and shook off SULMARI, but was no match for the winner in the going. OLD PAT" improved his position after entering the stretch to easily best the others. PEACE JITTERS made up some ground. SULMARI tired. ESPEDECO had some early speed while racing on the outside. NEW STREAM was badly outrun.
