PRINCESS TURIA, well placed and saving ground , from the start, took command from ROYAL LARK entering the stretch, responded readily when hard urged during the drive and lasted to hold DOUBLEDOGDARE, winning with little left. DOUBLEDOGDARE, in close quarters entering the backstretch, was taken in hand and saved ground to the stretch, closed gamely next to the inner Lrail but was unable to overtake PRINCESS TURIA and just missed. DOUBLEDOGDARE pulled up with a cut r immediately about her near hind coronet. TOURNURE gradually worked way forward to the stretch, closed strongly in the middle of the track but was unable to seriously threaten the leaders. BEYOND saved ground ■4. throughout, made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then weakened. LADY SWORDS, far back early, drifted out entering the stretch and failed to rally when straight for the drive. ROYAL LARK took command early, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way when challenged by PRINCESS TURIA. AIMING HIGH showed .nothing. NURSE GINNY had brief speed. SMOKERETTA could not keep up. SANDRAS BABY gave a fair effort and had no excuse. CALL WILLIE failed to stay when set down through the stretch. CRYSTAL MAGIC saved ground while being outrun to the upper turn, then moved up fast approaching the stretch, assumed command while drifting out during the drive and retained a clear advantage to the finish. SMUGSY WUGSY raced prominently throughout, but was not good enough for the winner. JOHN JORDAN raced well to the stretch, but faltered when set down for the drive. GRACIOUS ONE took an early lead and set the pace until entering the stretch, then. weakened. FARCUERETTE tired during the stretch run. THATS FOR SURE could not keep up. LILIPET showed nothing.
