Latest Weather Report ReportCHURCHILL CHURCHILL DOWNS Louisville Ky May 3 Sunny and pleasantly cool with a high of about 65 was the cheering official weathercast for Derby Day by the weather experts of the Civil Aeronautics Authority at nearby Staiidifor Field This insures that a fast track will prevail for tfte 83rd Derby running as today was about the same as predicted for tomorrow sunny arid cool Churchill Downs officials were pleasantly astonished when the forecaster at Standifor in reply to a question if there was any possibility of rain in sight answered in racetrack lingo remarking1 Well we arent making book on the weather out here but if we were Id personally offer 20 to 1 or better against as much as a drop of rain during the Derby period
