Round Table to Forego Engagement in Preakness Will Be Pointed for 00,000 Westerner at Hollywood Course Special to Daily Racing Form OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.. May 7.— Round Table, who finished third behind Iron Liege and Gallant Man in Saturdays Kentucky Derby, will be sent to Hollywood Park today and will miss the Preakness on May 18, owner Travis M. Kerr said here today. Round Table will be sent to the coast by chartered plane and will remain there until late summer, when he will go to Chicago, Kerr added. "We feel that Round Table will like the firm Hollywood track better than the soft going at Pimlico and he will do better on the West Coast," Kerr declared. "He came out of the Derby in perfect condition," he added. "In fact, Im told that he is in better condition right now than after the Blue Grass Stakes, which he won." Kerr said he was not sure when Round Table would run again, but he is being Continued on Page Six Round Table Skips Preakness For Westerner at Hollywood Continued from Page One pointed for the 00,000 added Californian, for three-year-olds and upward, on May 25. The race is at a mile and a sixteenth. "We would like to be involved in the fight for the Triple Crown," Kerr said, "but our operation is centered on the West Coast and it is not fair to Willie Molter Kerrs trainer to have his assistant 3.00Q miles away with one horse while he is back home with 31. "Then we know that Round Table runs well at Hollywood while he seems to have trouble on cuppy tracks. We hope to be back for the Derby next year and we would also like to get a shot at some of the current three-year-olds on a track that would suit Round Table. Maybe well get that chance in Chicago."
