Rosedale Candidates Get Preps for Todays Event Scintillation, Hannibals Girl, Poly Hi, Sabana on Belmont Tab BELMONT PARK. Elmont. L. I., N. Y., May 7. — Three prominent candidates for tomorrows Rosedale Stakes at Jamaica blew out on the somewhat similar training crack here this morning. J. S. Kroeses Hannibals Girl merely breezed three furlongs in :38?5 for the five-furlong fixture, while Bill Hicks sent Hilln Dale Farms Scintillation a sparkling three panels in :35%. This was a splendid move on this deep track. The veteran George Odom sent Mrs. S. George Zauderers Poly Hi three eighths in :37%. the filly being eased a bit after an opening quarter in :23%. On paper, tomorrows stakes appears to lie among this trio and Brookmeade Stables Unleashed, who merely galloped after breezing a half in : 48? 5 on the main track yesterday. All four appear fit and ready. Over on the main track, C. T. Chenerys Sabana breezed three furlongs in company with the older Iberia for the Rosedale. Sabana was clocked in :34%, while Iberia went a tick faster. Both fillies had a light breeze at their backs to help them along. Mrs. C. Ulrick Bays Slaipner, who recently showed a return to something like his 1956 form, stepped a half in :47%, also on the faster main track. Maine Chance Farms Bushers Idol turned in the best six furlongs of the session on the main track, getting the distance in 1:13% in handy style. Greentree Stables Diving Board, breezed seven furlongs in 1:283/5. going along easily, while the same stables Riley was clocked a second slower, also just breezing. Over at Jamaica, the veteran Cary Winfrey sent High Tide Stables Fabulist and Son of Erin a sparkling three furlongs in :34%. They were on even terms in their good trial.
