SKY CAPERS, well placed from the outset, took command from MARKIT PAID afLer entering the stretch and drew clear when ridden out. DREAM OMOLEY steadily improved his position to the stretch, was unable to threaten the top ore, but held on well to best the others. MARKIT PAID took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, but faltered when challenged by SKY CAPERS. EASY-ME raced well to the final furlong and then weakened. GINGER MISS failed to rallv when set down for the drive. MR. SWANK could not keep uo. JOLIS CHOICE lacked early foot BLUNDER was through early. STEP FAST, forced to ease back when LI L SHRIMPIE went lame, failed to recover. RED DECANTER raced wide entering the stretch. LIL SHRIMPIE went lame durniq the runninq and was eased. FOUR FORKS, a sharp factor from the start, took command from UNTIMELY after entering the stretch, swerved under punishment but lasted to retain a clear margin to the finish. UNTIMELY went to the front at once, set the pace to the st.etch and appeared beaten when taken to the inside during the last sixteenth after suffering mild interference. COMMOTION, never far back, was unable to better her position when set down through the stretch. SLOW PLAY gave a good effort and had no mishap. BAYOU NYMPH lacked early foot hut finished fairly well under punishment. PROMENADE could not better I er position when set down for the drive. EVIE ANN. outrun early was never dangerous RADAR CLIPPER tired. PETITE RAE was through early. PINE NO MORE raced prominently to the stretch then more out badly and lost all chance. L FREYHOF for a half mile, reached the lead between calls in the early stretch but was unable to hold the winner. ROMAN BOSS gave a good effort and had no mishaps. BLUE COLONEL lacked, early foot. HAL MARBUT, on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. WM. L. FREYHOF took an early lead, remained on the inside for the stretch run and, lacking racing room through the final furlong, tired. MUNCHAUSEN raced nearest BIG SWEEP and saved ground to the stretch, attained command after settling for the drive and, responding to strong handling, held INVALIDATE safe but won with little left. INVALIDATE, in hand while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, closed extremely fast in the middle of the track but was unable to reach the top one. PRECIOUS STONE, shuffled back approaching the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and closed determinedly but could not over take INVALIDATE. DRU AWAY, away sluggishly and forced wide entering the stretch, made up ground when straightened for the drive. BERNBURGOO saved ground throughout but could not reach serious contention. BIG SWEEP began fast, set the pace to the stretch while engaging MUNCHAUSEN, then failed to stav. GRANDPAW tired after racing forwardly placed to tne stretch. MIGHTY WARRIOR saved ground while in hand to the last three-eighths mile, was taken to the outside for the stretch run and, responding to brisk handling, wore down IRISH SEA in the last strides. IRISH SEA took command at once, settled in the stretch with a short lead after disposing of DOUBLE PROPHET and continued gamely but could not hold the winner and just missed. DOUBLE PROPHET, well pJaced from the outset, made a good bid in the early stretch, then faltered. ASTHORE tired after showing early foot. BLUE LAW raced well to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. PINESTAR showed nothing. GALFOR raced far back the entire trip. Overweight— Asthore, 4 pounds. Irish Sea claimed by G.
