FANTASTIC took an early lead, raced MARY H. into defeat before entering the stretch and was briskly handled during the drive to withstand BETSY T. The latter, never far back, responded readily when hard ridden through the stretch but was unable to reach the winner SUPER DEVIL, outrun to the last quarter mile, made up ground during the drive and probably needed his race. OBNOXIOUS made a bold bid in the early stretch, then faltered. WHIRLING BLUES. tired during the drive. SMACKOVER bore out at the stretch turn and failed to rally when straightened for the drive. SMOKY HILL was never dangerous and had no mishap. MARY H. beg.n fast, raced with MR. FANTASTIC for a half mile, then failed to stay. Overweight— Obnoxious. 2 pounds; Whirling Blues, 3. NEMESIA moved up boldly approaching the stretch, was in close quarters nearing the- 4 sixteenth pole and was unable to get to the top pair. MY AFFINITY raced prominently until inside the stretch and then weakened. EASY NANCY lacked early foot and could not threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. CRYSTAL MAGIC had early foot but failed to stay. ABACUS had a rough race. LETS THINK showed little. PARAPH was never dangerous. STRUGGLE had brief speed.
