Inswept Works Mile in 1 :40Vs At Pimlico for Preakness PIMLICO. Baltimore, Md., May 7. — While the "big name Preakness eligibles are being awaited here, Marylands hope for the mile and three-sixteenths middle jewel of the Triple Crown, Roslyn Farms Inswept, gave notice of his candidacy this morning. He worked a mile in 1A0U5 handily, described by dockers as a "very good move. Gough W. Thompson, Inswept s breeder and owner was on hand for the once-around trial in which the Chesapeake Stakes winner went the final furlong in :12%. Jockey Joe Culmone was astride the brown Faultless — Sweep In colt in his impressive move. Before Inswepts drill today, trainer Frank A. Bonsai said, "It is Mr. Thompsons feelingthat because Inswept won the Chesapeake, the colt should have a chance to compete in the Preakness." Bonsai added, "I personally think our long shot chance will be enhanced if the track comes up muddy Preakness Day."
