Blackburn Succeeds Hayward JAMAICA. L. I., N. Y.. May 7.— It was learned today that Eddie Hayward is resigning his post as trainer of the Murcain-Byars Stable effective tomorrow and that Robert Blackburn will take over the string until Monday, June 10. On that date the Murcain-Byars horses are going under the hammer at Belmont Park, the sale being conducted by the Fasig-Tipton Company. The horses in the vendue include Jeans Joe. a stakes winner; eight three-year-olds including the stakes-winning Ghan Fleet, and six two-year-olds.
