ALISON RITZ. quick to settle in stride, followed in closest pursuit of the pacemaker whiel saving ground to the final turn where she was eased out for the drive, assumed command under pressure and was all out to stall off the belated bid of THE HORSE FAIR. The latter was void of early foot, moved from between horses on the final turn and was getting to the winner. PERIQUEST gave way badly after showing speed to the early stretch. FRANPEARL was never a serious factor. BEARS CUT was outrun in a dull effort. QUICK DECISION was void of speed throughout. Quick Decision claimed by Baker Farm, trainer J. Lipari. BLUE CIRCLE, held under steadying restraint while being outrun early, swung wide when making his bid on entering the stretch and, with a belated rush, wore down ROYAL SPY in the final strides. The latter had his speed, saved ground throughout, turned back DARLIN AVIV in midstretch and then just failed to last. DARLIN AVIVA raced with the top flight from the outset and held on stubbornly in a long drive. REPARATION found his best stride too late while closing a big gap. The latter, never far back, moved up strongly when called upon and, while unable to handle the winner, was easily best of the others. PROPELLANT. shuffled back soon after the start, loomed boldly while swerving sharpiy to the outside on entering the stretch, bumping into ASKEPOT and, when stirghtened away, could not menace. PROPELLANT was disqualified and unplaced for interfering with ASKEPOT through the early stretch. ARDELLA was forwardly placed for three-eighths and faltered. NAVY PLEDGE was always outrun. ASKEPOT was bumped and forced exceedingly wide on entering the stretch. TARQUILLA was forwardly placed to midstretch where she failed to respond when called upon. STOLEN HOUR bore out on entering the stretch after having made a mild rally on the final turn. CABALLO hung after making a menacing rally on the final bend. RIGHT WINGER was never a serious factor. FURTHER DELAY was used up early.
