WAGED AND WON could not keep up. DEL was always outrun. NOBLE WARRIOR displayed brief early foot. LADY IMELDA INJURED HERSELF IN THE GATE PRIOR TO THE START. MOTHER TONY had speed from the start, saved ground, turned back ERRARD LADY after stumbling nearing the furlong marker and was drawing out at the end. ERRARD LADY raced evenly. BETTER DEPTH was forced to race wide to make a strong challenge which placed bim in front in the early stretch where he commenced lugging in and appeared to hang slightly in the final drive. THEBES found her best stride too late. HYDE PARK could not keep up. CATCH FIRE, never far back, moved to the front from the outside on entering the stretch, commenced drifting out under pressure and was hard ridden to hold his commanding lead. ZOON raced with the winner to the upper stretch and dropped back slowly. SWOOSE passed only tiring horses. STAR BLAZE was used up early. DOLL MASON could not keep up. NERO, in hand early, cut to the inside to wear down CUVIER RELIC in the stretch and drew well clear while being ridden out. The latter had his speed, saved ground to the stretch, where he drifted out and succumbed readily to the winner. COLONEL BALA broke slowly and closed a big gap in the stretch run. PRIPOLY, in hand early, came wide to make his bid entering the stretch, gained command a furlong out but was not quite good enough.
