Cousu Dor Beats Classic Hopefuls in First Start Takes Prix Noalles as Apollo III. Finishes Third at Longchamp Special to Daily Racing Form PARIS, May Reuters . — Baron de Zaylens Derby and Doncaster St. Leger candidate, Apollo III., who currently is on offer at 14-1 for the Epsom classic, was beaten into third place in the 6,000.000 francs Prix Noailles over 11 furlongs at Longchamp on Sunday. The winner was the 36-1 outsider, Cousu Dor, owned by M. Georges Wildenstein and ridden by Jean Paul Boullenger. Making his first appearance on a race track. Cousu Dor finished two lengths in front of Count Daudif f ret-Pasquiers Le Loup Garou Jean Massard up, with Apollo III. Fred Palmer a length further away in third place. Thirteen started. M. Marcel Camus Buisson DArgent, ridden by Henri Signoret, won the 4,300,000 francs Prix de LEsperance over 15 furlongs. He won by a length and one-half from S a 1 i g n y with Geisemium a length away in third place in the field of 13. Prestige III., who lost third place by a neck, is entered in the Doncaster St. Leger.
