Florida Board Refuses Tropical Night Racing Commission Votes Unanimously Denying Silbermans Request Special to Daily Racing Form MIAMI, Fla., May 4. — The Florida Racing Commission today unanimously rejected Tropical Parks request to hold night horse racing. Saul Silberman, Tropical Park president, was the only one of a standing-room-only crowd at the meeting to speak in favor of the proposal. Opponents who spoke up included jai alai and greyhound racing interests, a movie official and clergymen. Silberman, who had asked for night racing during the coming season, had no comment to make about any further efforts. James Knight, owner of the Biscayne Kennel Club, a greyhound track, accused Silverman of "insatiable greed" in the request. Knight said, "It is nothing but a greedy effort on Silbermans part."
