Florida 1959-60 Dates Set; Tropical Opens on Nov. 26 MIAMI, Fla., May 4.— The Florida Racing Commission, at its meeting here today, allotted a combined total of 126 days for the states three major thoroughbred racing plants — Hialeah, Gulfstream and Tropical Parks — for the 1959-60 season. Tropical, after having its request for night racing denied, was granted 43 programs, November 26 through January 15, being closed Friday, November 27. Hialeah will operate for 40 days, January 16 through March 2, while Gulfstream will have 43 days of sport, March 3 through April 21.
