TRIBES HILL raced LEVEL COUP into defeat and settled into the stretch with a good lead but was briskly handled during the drive to retain his advantage. BACK LOG, away sluggishly, moved up fast following the start and closed gamely but could not reach the winner. RUN BULLY and HIGH TONE RUBY lacked early foot. HAPPY HAL, prominent to the stretch, had nothing left. BUD LEON had no mishap. LEVEL COUP engaged TRIBES HILL for a half mile and then aave way. TELLAIRS showed nothing. CRAFTY COUNT was kept next to the inner rail for the drive and, closing strongly, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. SUCCESSFUL settled into the stretch with a short advantage but drifted out during the drive and could not hold the top one. ADMIRALS WATCH, attempting to bear out during the run to the stretch, continued to swerve at the stretch turn and then finished fast but could not overtake the leaders. RETRIBUTION, promiennt to the stretch, drifted out during the drive. OVER-TRICK made a bold bid in the early stretch and then weakened. CRAFTY NASRA raced WHITE CLARET into defeat and settled for the drive with a short advantage, then faltered. JACQUELINE ROSE was in tight quarters through the final furlong.
