Defrost Buckeye State Winner MAUMEE DOWNS, Maumee, Ohio, May 4. — Defrost, a roan son of First Fiddle, owned and conditioned by A. W. Sime-ondiou, captured the featured Buckeye State Handicap at this oval Saturday when he crossed the wire two and one-half lengths before E. Golladays favored Banner Bond before a crowd of 5,494 over a track termed slow for this race. Helen Jacksons Johnny Mission was third, six lengths in arrears of Banner Bond. This was the third consecutive victory for Defrost at the current meeting. The veteran jockey Kenny Robertson was aboard the winner who was timed in 1:16% for the 6 furlongs and returned .20 to those who fancied his chances.
