RISKY MISS lacked speed, but came fast after leaving the back stretch to race through the middle of the track in the run home and, catching HIGH TENSION in the final sixteenth, won going away. HIGH TENSION went to the front at once and held on fairly well after setting a good pace in the going. FORT SPRINGS was closest to the leaders in the early part, but tired in the run home. LADY BOWMAN was badly outrun all the way. R. D. POWERS could not keep up and appeared to dislike the soft footing. Scratched 08659Polydorus, 120. SIXTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. WENT TO POST 4:45. AT POST 3J minutes. Start good and slow. "Won easily; second and third driving. RISKULUS, after holding a prominent position in the early stages, moved up steadily after leaving the back stretch to head the early leaders in the run home and drew out to a handy victory. TOP ROW was unable to keep up in the early stages, but came to the outside of the field in the stretch and was going gamely at the finish. INDIANTOWN set most of the pace and withstood a couple of challenges from FRISKY MATRON to lead to the eighth post; but tired in the final drive. GAY WORLD made up much ground and was racing strongly at the finish. FRISKY MATRON sprinted up to head INDIANTOWN at the half-mile post, but was again headed by the latter after leaving the back stretch and continued gamely to the last eighth, where she tired. JOHNS BIRTHDAY went to the front soon after the start and, racing as if much the best, opened up a good lead on the back stretch and was never in danger. SAND BABY was badly outrun for a half mile, then moved forward strongly and was racing fast at the finish, but did not threaten the winner. ARSON closed some ground to finish well. NIGHT JASMINE ran a good three-quarters, then began to tire. VELOCITER had some early speed. BRAN MUFFIN was badly outrun after the first quarter. ATCINES had early speed, dropped back after going a quarter, but showed a liking for the going and came again in the stretch, finishing fast to pass KISLAV near the end and won going away. KISLAV was rushed to the front on the back stretch to open up a good lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. EVIDENTLY- was sent to the front rounding the first turn, dropped back when headed by KISLAV and PHARAMAID on the back stretch and was apparently beaten, but came again in the stretch and was going well at the finish. PHARAMAID was a strong contender in the early stages, but tired. ONO was pocketed rounding the first turn and was forced to take up, then raced close tp the leaders to the far turn, but tired and did not seem to fancy the going.
