t Large and Powerful Audley Farm Stable Gallant Knight, one of the great three-year-olds of the previous season, did not cut such a swath in the handicap results of 1931, but he still was good enough to lead the Audley Farm Stables money horses with 3,750. The fact that the Audley stable was one of the several well over the 00,000 mark Is explained by the presence of so many winners, no one of which accounted for more than six races. Gallant Knight won five, including the Fiancis S. Peabody Memorial and Grainger Memorial Handicaps. These were his stake victories. The Choctaw ranked next to Gallant Knight in money won, by reason of his having finished second in the Agua Caliente Handicap. It will be recalled that The Choctaw missed this 00,000 first prize by the margin of a neck. The Choctaw finished the 1931 season with 7,100 to his credit. None of the other Audley horses won quite 0,000, the remainder of the stables respectable total being accumulated in comparatively small portions. High Devine led the two-year-olds with ,255.
