Fitz Gerald of The j Morning Telegraph and Norris Royden of Daily Running Horse, both of New York, and George Krehbiehl of The Detroit Times. Nomination blanks for the Ohio State Derby, Bainbridge Park feature, were re- I ceived from Julius G. Reeder by judge ! Charles F. Price and Phil McCann, who distributed 1 them to horsemen. I Dick Morris, partner of C. H. Knebelkamp I in the ownership of one of the largest stables here, will arrive Wednesday from Chicago. John T. Early, Cincinnati sportsman, joined the rapidly growing Derby crowd today. Roy Carruthers, general manager of the Arlington Park Jockey Club, will be host to a large party of friends for the Derby, including several directors of the big Chicago track. Clarence Buxton arrived today from New York to supervise the final training of J. H. Louchheims Economic for the Derby. Louchheim and a party of friends will arrive later in the week in a private car from Philadelphia. Robert W. Daniel, New York and Richmond, Va., banker and owner of Brandon Mint, aleo will be accompanied by a number ! Of friends to cheer his colt in Saturdays l event. Jockey J. W. Frye drew a ten-day suspension for crowding horses during the running of the fourth race Monday, in which he rode Olive Sabath. Racing secretary Julius Reeder of Bain- 1 ! bridge Park, reports the receipt of several nominations for the Ohio State Derby and expects a record entry list. George Land, assistant to James W. This pair of Derby cracks go through J I their final distance workout tomorrow. ! Brandon Mint and Lucky Tom, R. J. Daniels I and J. J. Robinsons Derby candidates, unloaded at the Downs shortly after noon j today. They stood the long trip from ] | Jamaica in good style, and will be out to- | morrow for their first "feel" of the Derby track. Frank Bray, trainer of Brandon I Mint, came in with his charge, and H.
