OPINION, away fast, followed the early leader under strong restraint, raced into command rapidly and without need of strong urging and won well in hand. SUN GROS showed speed from the start and, holding on well, showed a good performance. HILDUR ROCK, away fast and always under energetic riding, showed speed, saved eround and tired after reaching the last eighth. NEVER QUIT began slowly and closed a gap, but did not threaten the leaders. ANXIOUS raced green. CYCLOPIC showed early speed. MANITOBIAN was badly outrun. The latter, a strong factor from the start, was forced to lose ground, but finished wearing down the winner. DRY RIDGE showed his 1 est speed, was in close quarters early and tired badly in the last eighth. HASTY PETER lost much ground. JUSTICE LOGAN was far out in the track all the way. BOILING WATER, away fast and kept up despite lack of room for five-eighths, during which she was under light restraint, responded gamely when mildly shaken up and, wearing down PRINCESS CAMELIA, won drawing out. The latter, taken into the lead, was rated under steady restraint to the stretch, where she continued eamely, but was not good enough. PEGGY LEHMANN lost ground and tired after moving up boldly on the outside in the stretch. MODERN QUEEN showed speed, but tired. PORTERS DREAM met interference. DEPRESSION gained fast on the inside on the stretch turn, but was blocked entering the last three sixteenths. OSCILLATION, a factor from the start, was crowded back on the stretch turn.
