BOWIE TURF NOTES I $ t Jockey George Schreiner was given a hearing Monday by the Maryland Racing Commission. The lad has been on the ground long enough to warrant his getting another chance. He has been galloping horses all spring on state tracks. Jockey L. Balaski will go to Canada with the eighteen horses that Arthur Hullcoat is shipping there for the summers racing. Racing secretary Edward J. Brennan has decided to limit his fields to eight starters during the Hagerstown meeting, which opens next Thursday. Before shipping Adolphe Pons stable from Pimlico to Washington Park, trainer Jack Pryce sold two horses to G. W. Campbell, who shipped them to Canada. Jockey R. Workman resumed riding after serving a five-day suspension. Jack B. Campbell, who arrived from Toronto to take up the duties of placing judge in the absence of J. P. Turner, has been notified of his appointment as racing secretary at the meetings to be staged by the Niagara Racing Associations at Fort Erie. Arthur Hullcoat sent a carload of horses to Toronto, and another carload to Long Branch. Clarence Middleton, state turf man and Tommy Bonham also shipped to Toronto. Trainer Louis Campbell shipped G. L. Strykers string from here to Timonium. He will ship several of his horses from Timon-!ium to Hagerstown Wednesday.
