t BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES I $ Robert L. Gerrys Sugar Pea, still another of the eligibles, was brought out by George Odom and she was sent along for an easy mile in 1:45. Three of the eligibles for the Belmont Stakes were galloped in War Stripes and War Glory from the Samuel D. Riddle string and the Green Stables Jungle King.. War Stripes had an easy mile and a furlong in 2:00; War Glory went along for a breezing mile in 1:51 and Jungle King had an easy mile in 1:48.
