BELMONT AUTUMN STAKES NEW YORK, N. Y., July 16.— Entry blanks for nine stakes to be renewed by the Westchester Racing Association during the fall meeting at Belmont Park Septerrber 3 to September 15 are being distributed among horsemen throughout the country. These stakes are additional to the early closing features such as the Futurity and Lawrence Realization. Nominations are now solicited for the Manhattan Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds and over, one mile and a half; Ladies Handicap, ,500 added, for fillies and mares of all ages, one mile; Fall Highweight Handicap, ,500 added, all ages, six furlongs, Widener course; Jerome Handicap, ,500 added, three-year-olds, one mile; Champagne Stakes, ,500 added, two-year-olds, six and a half furlongs, Widener course; Nursery Handicap, ,500 added, two-year-olds, six furlongs, Widener course, and three steeplechase fixtures. The crosscountry events are the Grand National, ,000 added, four-year-olds and over, about three miles; Brook, ,000 added, four-year-olds and over, about two and a half miles, and the Broad Hollow, ,500, three-year-olds and over, about two miles. Entries close August 4.
