RED ROD forced the early pace under restraint, took command when ready and held GOOD DAME safe. The latter moved up fast on the inside and outlasted SOUTH BEND. The latter was outrun for a quarter, moved up gamely on the outside and was wearing dewn the leaders. GOOD AIM, a strong factor from the start, tired in the drive. HANNAH ANNE tired after making the pace. DARK DIANNE was done in the stretch. JAKE BLIEDEN was used up reaching the leaders. Scratched— 99001 Oddesa Beau, 111; 99001 Grand Yiew, 108. MINNEQUA forced the pace under good urging and outlasted DIVERT. The latter moved up gradually, went to the outside for the drive and just failed to get up. JANE HASTINGS, hustled into the early lead, set a good pace, but lost ground entering the stretch, then came again. HAMMEL, close up from the start, was shuffled back in the stretch. THISTLE FLIT showed good form. SEQUOIA was unprepared at the start, was foiced to move up with a loss of ground and tired. BELL MAN had no mishaps. DOESKIN was outrun. BABY BANE was in close quarters throughout. EMERY had no mishaps. PROUD PRINCESS was hustled into a long lead at once, but quit badly. Scratched— 98572 Popo, 112.
