DATES FOR SIX WEEKS OF RACING AT MONTREAL MONTREAL., Que., April 18 Decks were cleared today for the Quebec Racing Associations series of meetings in the Montreal area alone, which would provide six straight weeks of thoroughbred sport, starting May 24. It is possible that there will be one or two weeks of racing at Ottawa, but this is not certain. The Quebec Racing Association directors in session here decided that racing in Montreal will open at the Blue Bonnets track May 24, which is earlier than the start made last year. The meeting there will continue for fourteen days. That will give the Montreal Jockey Club the holiday and three Saturdays. The Blue Bonnets meeting will be followed by Mount Royal, operated by the Back River Jockey Club. That track will open Saturday, June 14, and will also continue for fourteen days. Kings Park will follow Mount Royal from July 1 to July 16. The racing will thus be concentrated into mid-summer. The resignation of Tommy Gorman as "secretary was accepted with regret. Gorman pointed out that due to another engagement he would not have any time to devote to racing which makes the Ottawa outlook decidedly uncertain. Jules Dugal was unanimously chosen as Gormans successor in the position.
