BEACON HILL DESTROYED NEW YORK, N. Y., April 18 Gwladys Whitney was advised today by cablegram that her jumper Beacon Hill had been destroyed in England. Details were not given. Beacon Hill, a nine-year-old son of BroomstickYankee Maid, by Peter Pan, was sent to England after the 1933 season in this country. Beacon Hill had a successful career through the field here and abroad. In England last year he won once in four starts and was second in another.
