MAYPOLE BILL ADVANCES SPRINGFIELD, 111., April 18. The Senate today passed the Maypole horse racing bill by a vote of 42 to 0. The bill now goes to the House. The bill provides that licensee will be permitted to retain as his commission an amount not to exceed 7 per cent, and the "breaks" instead of not to exceed 6 per cent and the "breaks" of money wagered. The bill provides the "breaks" are to be computed at not to exceed ten cents on the dollar instead of not to exceed one cent on the dollar.
