WASHINGTON PARK OVERFLOW Because of the very large demand for stabling accommodations at Washington Park, general manager Roy Carruthers has made arrangements with Matt Winn, managing director of Lincoln Fields, to quarter the overflow at the Chicago Heights course during the thirty-one day meeting opening May 25. Tom Young, track superintendent at Lincoln Fields, will go there early next month from Churchill Downs to place the course in first class condition for training. In addition to the large request for stabling room, nominations to the Washington Park stakes also have been more than satisfactory, Carruthers said. The seven features at the Homewood course, headed by the 5,000 added American Derby, close for nominations Wednesday, May 1. 1
