WASHINGTON PARK NOTES 4 S Twelve horses of the string which C. V. Whitney has been campaigning at Rockingham Park will arrive at Washington Park early Friday morning to remain during most of the Chicago season. The two Whitney candidates for Saturdays ,000 Great Western Handicap High Glee and The Darb are expected to be included in the shipment. Whitney horses are heavily entered in the remaining Washington Park stakes. Six of his two-year-olds have been named for the Washington Park Juvenile Stakes a week from Saturday Brant, Flavor, Forced Landing, Honky Tonk, Microbe and Two Bob. Jockey A. Beck left Washington Park for Riverside Park in Kansas City, where he will ride. Trainer Howard Wells returned from Latonia Tuesday with D. B. Midkiffs Tearout, which he saddled Saturday for his triumph in the Latonia Derby. The two-year-old Mount Auburn came back in the van with Tearout, Wells having taken over the colt from the Latonia string in charge of his uncle, Howard Oots. Clyde Van Dusen sent the filly First Class, owned by Dixiana, to Latonia Tuesday night to run in the Clipsetta Stakes Saturday. Phil Reuter is shipping Roman Soldier to Detroit Friday night to prepare for the Detroit Derby on June 15 and if the Texas Derby winner trains satisfactorily at the Motor City course, he will be started in the 5,000 added special, over the mile and three-sixteenths course. Trainer Edward Haughton has instructed his promising apprentice Elmer de Perini not to ride for several days or until he is fully recovered from the effects of his fall here Monday. The lad was suffering from a slight headache Tuesday. Jockey C. McTague arrived from Thorn-cliffe and accepted his first mount of the meeting on Hat Check in the first race Tuesday. He has affiliated himself with the Rosedale Stable. Trainer Cecil Howard arrived with Bosopi, Ouray, Lady Federal and Royal Leon, owned by R. C. Thatcher, and his wifes Half Day. They came from Detroit by van and are quartered at Lincoln Fields.
