MISS GREENOCK displayed the most speed, attained a clear lead early, continued gamely and held sway to the finish. ORIENTAL MISS, closest to the pace throughout, challenged gamely, but was overmatched. LADY CONFUCIOUS, giving a vastly improved performance over her previous one, closed strongly in the drive. NORDRIE. failed to be dangerous under strong riding. TACT raced evenly without mishap. GREY NOSE quit under pressure. WITCH WINGS, away slowly, was outrun throughout. THROUGH OMOND displayed good speed from the start, continued gamely under occasional pressure, withstood the drive gamely and outfinished BILLY JONES under a powerful ride. The latter, probably best, raced well up throughout, was going strongly when forced to case while in close quarters, but came fast when clear and just missed. ROLANDA, a strong factor to the final eighth, weakened thereafter. HILDRUM rushed to the front early, gave way when challenged, then lost ground gradually in the stretch. PARADE STEP could not improve his position. MUKLUK dwelt at the start, then made up some ground. The others were outrun. Scratched 10922 Potterton, 112. The latter improved his position gradually, closed fast and was wearin" down the winner nearing the finish. STEPAHEAD, on the inside throughout, gained, gradually, but was no menace for the first two. MARY SEIBERT raced well under a hustling ride. NOVETTE began slowly, was much used reaching the leader, tired under punishment and lost ground in the final stages. GOLDEN PIGEON had no excuse. The others were outrun. BEN BERNIE, racing as if much the best, was taken in hand for half the distance, was forced wide while gaining, yet had enough left to overhaul YENOC to win in the final strides. The latter, taken into contention gradually, took command in the stretch, but failed to withstand the winner under brisk pressure. BEAU DIS, on the outside most of the way, closed resolutely under hard urging. JAZ AGE tired after forcing the early pace. DOUBLE NUGGET displayed high speed to the final eighth, then quit. PRINCESS IVORY could not keep up. FELA WAKE raced well for a half mile. The others were outrun. Overweight Princess Ivory, 3 pounds. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. WISE BESSA failed to be dangerous under strong pressure. MAH GRANT showed "nothing. RED SUNSET dropped out of it after a quarter and was outrun thereafter. TEMPLE HILL, badly messed about, was well up approaching the stretch, but was taken back for no apparent reason, continued the rest of the way on his own courage and was under weak handling. SIR KOSTER had no excuse. BLONDE BAGGAGE was far back throughout. RIPPER could not keep up. BABY STARE, away slowlv, was eased up when stricken with a hemorrhage.
