1 LATONIA TURF NOTES gs : Another shipment of horses arrived from Beulah when Earl Sitgraves brought Regards and Queen Nadi here for Robert Dunston. Jockey R. Cooper came7ori from Dayton, Ohio. Cooper will return to Dayton after filling his engagements here. J. C. Gillem, who recently sold the speedy Transmutable to the Old Gold Stable, was an arrival from his home in Lexington, Ky. Jockey Jack Mayer, who sustained bruises a few days ago when the saddle slipped, was discharged from the hospital. Apprentice D. C. Smith is now a full-fledged jockey. His apprentice allowance expired Tuesday. The latest additions to the horse colony at Latonia were four in charge of trainer S. S. Gano. He unloaded the following: Judge Barkley, Miss Dunlap, Kassan, and Easter Joy. The former two race for" Gario, whife the latter pair will perform in the interest of Kilpatrick and Gano.: The consignment came from Georgetown, Ky Tommy Pichon, brother of jockey Leslie Pichon, who books the engagements of the latter, will also make the mounts for jockey Willie Kern. Sanskrit and Tripp Up are the latest additions to starter Hamiltons schooling list; which now comprise eleven unruly performers. Mose Goldblatts Short Order, a scheduled starter in the first race Wednesday, was excused from starting by the stewards, having developed a mild attack of colic over night. According to the rules of The Jockey Club, the horse will not be eligible to run for three days. Aside from attending to the business of the Harned Brothers stable, E. James will also book the engagements for jockey Tracy Vercher. Walter J. Connolly, nationally known stage star, was the guest of the Latonia Jockey Club Wednesday and the. sixth race wa named in his honor. Ia the party with Connolly, who witnessed the race from the clubhouse, were Richard T. VonHoen, commonwealth .attorney of Kenton County; Nick Hoban and Harry Gilligan.
