OMAHA CHOICES MAKE GOOD Form Players Have Best Day of Current Meeting at Ak-Sar-Ben Racing Plant. OMAHA, Neb., June 5. Improved track conditions paved the way for a better brand-of racing than has resulted in the past at the Ak-Sar-Ben course, despite the fact that the program was devoid of a feature. Five two-year-olds made up the race that occupied the headline position on the program, with the Seminole Stable providing the winner in Willow Wood, the favorite. Chilnore, a recent winner, finished second, and third place went to Phyllis R. Beginning fast, Willow Wood engaged Phyllis R. in a duel for three furlongs, then came away to a safe lead in the run through the stretch. The veteran jockey Willie ran was- astride the winner, and it was his second success of the day. Threatening weather failed to keep the turf enthusiasts away from the track, and the attendance was estimated as 4,000. . Favorites triumphed in the majority of the races, and the form players enjoyed their most successful day of the current meeting.
