1 BAINBRIDGE PARK NOTES The feature race on Friday, the second Ladies Day of the meeting, has been named in honor of the stage and screen star, Lita Gray Chaplin, who is playing an engagement at the Mounds Club in Cleveland. She will appear at the track and make a presentation. There- are two Ladies Days a week at Bainbridge, Mondays and Fridays, on which days the fair sex are admitted to the grounds free. Additional arrivals from Columbus on Tuesday included the following: G. E. McCoy, with Desport; Mrs. C. Bunte, with Charlie, Princess Patsy and Lucy MHck; B. N. Grayson, with Fly On, Wild Betty, Canticle and Dining Beauty; Gilbert. Foreman, with Sisko and Last Signal; J. R. Booker, with Miss Subtle, Brizette and Our Ship; D. P. Brown, with Soupcon, Voco and Princess Wrack; F. D. Head, with Miss Vivian; Rollie Shepp, with Westko, William V., Ester Nation and Orchin. The latest arrivals from Charles Town, Hagerstown, Columbus and other points brought the total horses on the grounds to 500, with an additional hundred due during the remainder of the week. Frederic Crafton, who will handle the horseman book at Narragansett at the coming meeting, stopped over a few days en route to his post". He served in a similar capacity there last year. Thirty-eight per cent of winning favorites scored during the first four days of the meeting, with first, second and third choices scoring to the extent of sixty-five per cent. Leonard Turner leads the jockeys for the first four days with nine wins. Tom Shaw is second with three wins, having rode three winners in three starts after a lay-off of a year. Joe Dyer also has won three. Butsey Hernandez has seven wins, two seconds and one third in four days of racing. J. J. Brumage, E. J. OConnell and Clyde Trout are runners-up with three wins.
