J5WEEPOUCH began quickly, raced under pressure back of the pacemakers to the home stretch, challenged strongly and came with good courage in the closing eighth to reach the front in the closing stride?. LOSWEEP raced prominent from the beginning, came through on the inside of the leaders as they raced wide entering the home stretch and finished in determind fashion. SPRING MOON had nice speed while setting the pace, swerved out when reaching the home stretch, but held on willingly to the end. SPEARMAN was unable to better his position. SMART STEP broke well, but raced greenly. KHAKI FULLER could not menace. ADELE FULLER showed speed for the first three-eighths. Overweight Sweepouch, 2 pounds; Smart Step, 2. CENTERMARCH bettered his position on the outside when leaving the back stretch, displaced the leaders and held on strongly after taking command midway of the stretch. MAEBEE, forced to race on the outside, moved into contention at the turn, but failed to rally during the final drive while under punishment. BEEFSTEAK hustled into early contention and, saving ground on the inside, was gaining steadily during the final drive. TRAJECTORY lacked early speed and could" not enter contention. IMADUD took command soon after the start, sprinted clear when reaching the turn and held sway for the remainder of the trip. ARDAWN, in closest attendance of the winner from the start, could not threaten in the closing stages. LANGSTAFFE was hard urged from the start, saved ground and barely lasted to withstand SEA KALE. The latter, slow to settle into his stride, circled his field and finished stoutly in the late stages. SWEEPLURE raced forwardly placed, but could not menace when vigorously urged.
