CASH EOOK, at home in the going, displayed good speed from the start, drew clear and dominated the runnine to the end, winning with speed in reserve. DARK THATCH, in nearest pursuit of. the winner throughout, was hard ridden in the last sixteenth and just lasted to stave off the closing bid of WISE WILL. The latter moved up steadily in the last five-sixteenths and closed with good energy on the outside. BLOND JESTER tired after racing the first eighth with the leaders. SECURED closed, some ground. WISE KING forced his way through his company to gam a prominent position, then .closed in determined fashion. FESTOON improved his position gradually and closed stoutly. SIGHTING BAR was well up for the entire distance, but faltered slightly m the drive. MASKED GAL, on the outside was unable to reach the leaders, though closing some ground. HIATUS dropped back steadily after racing a. .quarter mile. GLITTER GLOW was away slowly, but raced gamely through the late stages when it was too late. AIRY HEIRESS tired. DANCING MACK, prominently placed from the. outset and under restraint for the first half mile, drew into a good lead after wearing down EUCLID and was never threatened thereafter. THE POTTER, well placed, moved up on the outside down the back stretch, closed gamely, but was unable to reach the winner. ZEMBLA, slow to begin, closed with a belated rush on the outside through the stretch. EUCLID had good speed for the first half mile, but was unable to keep pace when challenged. HAWK MOTH was unable to reach the leaders in an even effort. PALATINE faltered badly after a brief display of speed.
