CHARMING MISS went to the front soon after the start to open up a good lead and was never in serious danger. ZANNY was well up from the start and held on well under urging. COTLO BESS" closed ground and was racing gamely at the finish. SIR ROSE, unable to outrun ZANNY, was forced to race in the deepest going next to the rail all the way. The latter, clo?tst . to the winner in the early part, gained steadily in the stretch. BUSINESS MAN was never far from the pa e and raced well to the end. NUGENT closed some ground. SON OF DAY also made up ground. PRINCE MEXICAN made a strong move oh the far turn, but tired in the .final drive. AGGIE STAR was in the worst going on the inside. Overweight Opium, 5 pounds. CRYSTAL PAN dashed to the front on the outside approaching the stretch turn and, after taking a short lead, interfered with BON MINT repeatedly during the stretch lun and was disqualified for foul and placed-second. BON MINT, racing as if best, was forced to go through the deepest going next to the rail in the stretch and would have won but for interference. TEMPER closed ground and was racinc nicely at the finish GOLDEN IVY tired in the stretch. DENBIGH could not -keep up.
