MARES ARRIVE AT LEXINGTON LEXINGTON, Ky., March 31. Eleven mares arrived here from B. B. Jones Audley Farm, Berryville, Va., to be mated with horses standing in the vicinity of Lexington. Belle of Dixie, Carnina and Miss Cerina,, to be bred to Pilate, Carbina, Gay Polka and Ringdove II., to be bred to Quatre Bras II., and Ocrinato to be bred to St. Germans at Greentree Farm, went to Phil T. Chinns Old Hickory Farm where Pilate and Quatre Bras II. stand. Felina II. went to Coldstream Farm to be bred to Bull Dog. Gay Knightess and Light Pam went to Mere-worth Stud and will be bred to Swift and Sure. Rumrnond also went to Mereworth Stud and will be bred to Ariel at Greenwich Stud. In the car with these mares were a three-year-old and two two-year-olds" which were sent, on by motor van to Louisville and were delivered to trainer Bill Crump who has leased, their racing qualities from Audley Farm. One of the men who came with these horses departed Tuesday afternoon for Audley Farm with Ridge Blond, which was recently purchased by B. B. Jones, from Dr. R. H. Bardwejl, manager of Mereworth Stud.
