COMMISSION MEETING JUNE 16 Texas Ruling Body to Hear All Violation of Rules Cases Now Awaiting Action. AUSTIN, Texas, June 12. The Texas Racing Commission will meet here Tuesday, June 16, to hear all cases on its docket, according to the announcement of Mrs. Elizabeth Thweatt, secretary of the commission. Among the cases that have been referred to the commission for action is that of J. Singleton, trainer, charged with violation of Rule 237 in respect to use of prohibited lakaloid on the horse Vin oir at Arlington Downs, April 24. The Arlington Downs stewards ruled Singleton off and referred his case to the commission with the recommendation that he be barred from further participation in racing in Texas. The remainder of the cases are from half mile tracks, which include Amarillo, East Texas Downs at Rusk, Seguin and Midland, and include charges of stimulation, use of battery, poor riding, use of chain and taping a bride buckle with the back sharpened to a point.
