VOSIRIS took command shortly after the start, stalled off strong contention from WORTH TRYING in the first half mile, then came out slowly at the end when vigorously ridden. WORTH TRYING offered stiff contention frcm the start and held on well in the final issue. SLYCAT was hard ridden and was eased back shortly after the start, then Finished stoutly when shaken up. SPEY FOX was inclined to bear towards the inside all during the stretch run. SLIM SALOME could not reach contention. SATIN ROCK, SYNTOMY and BELLEDARE raced greenly. Scratched Balaxy, 115. BOSCOBEL, hard hustled to hold a contending position in the early racing, rallied nicely when reaching the stretch and, closing resolutely on the outside, was up in the last strides. CARDAMON slipped through on the inside when straightened into the stretch and finished with good speed. AMQUI set a fast pace, stalled off early contention from ASPERGE and fought it out stoutly when challenged. ASPERGE had good speed while in pursuit of the pacemaker, but tired in the last eighth. UVIRA was unable to enter contention. COSMIC PRINCE showed a good effort. PLAYING tired after a half mile. CIRCULET suffered early interference. The others were never factors. BIG ONE, close up from the start, assumed command when leaving the back stretch and, holding on gamely when placed to severe pressure, outstayed CENTERMARCH. The latter saved a lot of ground when the leaders swung wide entering the stretch and fought it out stoutly all during the final drive. GINGERY rallied to punishment during the closing three-sixteenths and finished with good energy. DON VERN was hard urged throughout and showed a good effort. BUD ROYAL moved up strongly midway of the turn, but raced very wide Into the stretch and lost all chance. WRIGLEY FIELD broke from the outside and raced evenly. NILREBO could not better her position. LISSOM LAD, taken under slight reserve when unable to outfoot ROMARCH, rallied strongly when shaken up in the last quarter mile and, displacing the pacemaker inside the final eighth, came out nicely at the end. ROMARCH had much speed o move into a long lead, saved ground, but faltered fast after being caught. CHALGO came to the outside in the last three-sixteenths and finished with a bold rush. SHADOW WALTZ closed gamely from a slow beginning. GOOD PICKING went evenly. LITTLE SARGENT lacked speed and was never dangerous. BONNIE SIGHT was done after a half mile. CHERRY STONE was under severe pressure throughout, but could not better his position. OSIRIAN broke slower than usual and was unable to reach a contending position. SKY WARRIOR had no excuses. TRAJECTORY worked his way up on the outside, but could not gain on the first two during the stretch run. NIGHTS END moved up threateningly approaching the stretch, but was permitted to go very wide and lost all chance. HEROWIN lacked speed and was never a factor.
