MALIGN slipped through on the inside in close quarters rounding the turn, responded to pressure, but was bearing out towards the end and crowded BLACK WITCH out of contention at the eighth post and then outlasted ALAHAD in the final strides. The latter moved up fast on the outside for the final eighth, but the rider could not do his mount justice when crowded. BLACK WITCH was raced stoutly between the leaders when crowded back. TOTEM POLE broke well, but dropped back, came again under pressure and finished well. REAL ONE closed resolutely. JANEEN was on the outside rounding the turn. THE WINK was crowded back after rounding the turn. LOVE POTION was knocked of contention shortly after the start. SWORD QUEEN moved up fast after the break and then faltered. TIME TO GO dropped back after the break and, outrun to the stretch turn, came to the outside and finished with a rush. PHRIXUS was rushed into command after the break, showed speed while saving ground and held on well. ROYAL CUNNING, a forward factor all the way, held on well. NARISE finished on her own courage.
